Lycanthropes have been used for stories, movies anything really with varying success. The first feature film to use a lycanthropes was Werewolf of London in 1935, not the one in 1981 with the similar title. The werewolf always kills what he most loves. the main lycanthrope in this file was a dapper in London scientist who still had some of his style and most of his human features after his transformation.

Modern Lycanthropes

Many modern Lycanthropes are supposedly to be immune to damage caused by modern machinary and weapons. Being only vulnerable to silver objects (usually bullets or blades). Sometimes a mere touch of an silver object can cause their skin to burn. Today in current fiction you can change by hereditary or from a disease transmitted through a bite of another lycanthropes.

Powers

Werewolves are often portrayed as being of extreme strength as of a dozen normal human beings. they also inherit from the wolf an accute nocturnal vision and a extremely good sense of smell. Werewolves are immune to aging and most physical diseases due to constant regeneration of their physical tissue. They can therefore "virtually" immortal. However they have to return to human form and are subjected to normal human rules.

Though a true wolf in wolf form, there is some proof that the werewolf attains some knowledge to assist when killing. Recognition of killing, victims, traps and human cunning have all been seen in werewolf cases.

The fear of wolves prevaded many different aspects of regional cultures. in the first canto of Dante's Inferno in the Commedia the wolf appears in one of the oldest and most durable assiocations in its history as a symbol of greed and fraud.

Also i the centre circle of Hell, Dante finds those condemned for "sins of the wolf" seducers and hypocrites, magicians, theives and liars. In the NORSE mythology, Fenrir the wolf was a bad guy and eventually the slayer of Odin.

Lycanthrope packs

"Even a man who is pure at heart and says his prayers by night, may become a wolf when the wolfbane blooms. And the autumn moon is bright" Lycanthropes or commonly known as "werewolves" can live alone like normal wolves for many years yet instinct for a pack often leads them away from their secretive lifestyle. Revealing their nature to a priest or associate or having another lycanthrope as a companion.
A pack consists of one "werewolf" who became one through sorcery, birth or curse in other words original tainted blood. The rest of the pack are Betas because through the bit they carry the tainted blood of the Alpha.
